On this tour we honour some of the people who did just that in South Africa’s struggle for freedom and in doing so helped shaped the democratic freedoms and human rights that all South Africans prosper enjoy today.

First Attraction
Liliesleaf Farm
This farm was for many years a meeting place and hide-out for top African National Congress (ANC) and South African Communist Party (SACP) personnel. Widely regarded as the birthplace of Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK). It was the also the site of the police raid on 11 July 1963 that resulted in the Rivonia Treason Trials and eventual incarceration of many senior ANC leaders. Since opening as museum Liliesleaf Farm has received much acclaim, not only as a significant historical monument, but also for the unorthodox interactive style of some of the exhibits.

Lunch - Braamfontein
Braamfontein offers some of the best restaurants in the CBD. From the trendy vibrant & hip to the more traditional, there is definitely something to suite everyone’s tastes.

Constitution Hill
Constitution Hill is a human rights precinct and a world-class heritage tourist attraction incorporating cultural, historical, artistic, educational and recreational spaces that celebrate South Africa's ability to negotiate a peaceful, miraculous democracy. It is also the home of the South African Constitutional Court, and retains important national and international heritage buildings, including the old Fort Prison, the Number Four Native Prison and the old Women's Jail.
